About DarkOrbit

DarkOrbit requires a quick trigger finger, bearing some resemblance to arcade shooter games of the past, but with greater customization options. Whether you pilot a quick, lightly armored ship, or a heavy cruiser that dishes out and takes a ton of punishment, or a support ship to shield your allies from harm, you’ll be able to alter your Game to suit your play style. Collect resources to enrich your faction, and lead your clan into war for total dominance of the galaxy!

This gameplay loop, along with some solid sound design and interesting ships to create and customize makes for a very enjoyable browser game. However, the repetitive quests, over-reliance on grinding, and difficulty may grate on some Players’ nerves. Graphically speaking the Game is top-notch: we’ve rarely seen browser games as visually impressive.

Main points: Quality action-based browser-game, that differentiates itself from the mass of strategic titles. Fun gameplay loop and top-notch graphics after the latest 2016 major update. The interesting choice between companies. Few downsides, with repetitive quests being the most problematic.

Equipment & Classes And/Or How To Play:

  • As you increase in levels you get access to more maps. More maps mean more quests. This is outlined in the table above under Experience. The levels continue to increase by doubling the EP points. There is no limit.
  • Clans are all over the orbit. Some of them work together some work against each other. Clans are great to support networks, usually, they offer assistance with doing quests, some help with credits for bidding in trade. While life can be profitable on your own it is usually easier and more fun in a clan. Clans are a great way to find help or friends.
  • The quests button opens up the quests window. This is where you can select the quests you wish to work on, up to three at a time. Once you get used to where aliens are you will be able to keep three quests running most of the time.
  • The pilot bio is another critical section of the backpage. This allows you to add certain skills that will benefit you in the future of your career. You will want to spend some time studying the guide before you start building this. If you decide you don’t like the path you’re taking, you can always reset the pilot points and start again.
Minimum System Requirements

DarkOrbit is an online browser game and should run smoothly on practically any PC with a updated web-browser.
