Review: Heavy Metal Machines
Kick it into high gear with Heavy Metal Machines, a Free To Play title that fuses racing and MOBA gameplay into a fast-paced, high-octane blend of Strategy and mayhem! Following the apocalypse, crazed warriors play a dangerous game of chicken, tricking out their vehicles to deliver a bomb to their opponents’ base. You’ll need every dirty trick in the book to complete your objective without getting blasted to pieces in the process!
HMM is a tactical super fast-paced game that challenges your reflexes, where 2 teams of 4 insane pilots gather to fight for a powerful bomb to deliver it to the opponent's base. Use your mouse to drive the machines and keyboard (Q, W, E, R) to activate their powerful weapons. Play the tutorial and watch this video to succeed in the arenas!
Metal Pass is the progression system where the players have access to weekly challenges and amazing in-game rewards. This seasonal journey is the path to level your account up and get over 90 items by winning the challenges! And of course, you can also purchase dozens of other cosmetic items in the shop to customize your account, such as Visual Effects, Sprays, Pilots, Skin Models, XP Boosters and a bunch of other fantastic goodies.
Heavy Metal Machines Gameplay
By default, the left mouse button makes your car go forward, the right mouse button makes it go backward. If you release both buttons, the car will halt to a stop. Q activates your Weapon 1, W your Weapon 2, E is your Weapon 3 and R is your special.
Every machine has 3 standard weapons and one special. Some machines have a passive weapon. The standard Weapons will enter cooldown after they've been activated, and you must wait to use them again. The Special won't be available at the start of the round, it will charge slowly over time and when you cause damage to enemies with your other weapons, as well as repairing colleagues! Once you use it, it'll have to be recharged again by the same methods.
